The Light House is pleased to welcome our newest Board Member, Anna Staley. Anna originally joined The Light House team in 2014 as our Human Resources Manager. After relocating to Houston, Texas in 2019, Anna began a new role as Regional HR Business Partner for Discovery Behavioral Health—an agency that provides support for individuals with substance abuse, eating disorders, and mental health issues. Anna was born and raised in Omsk, Russia and attended Omsk State University where she earned a degree in Physics. Upon relocating to the United States in 2001, Anna discovered her professional passion of connecting with people, and began to pursue a career in Human Resources. In 2017 Anna received her SHRM certification after studying at Bryant University in Smithfield, Rhode Island. While she had not been exposed to the Disability Services community prior to joining The Light House team, Anna quickly gained an appreciation for the importance of services provided by our agency.
“The Light House is a beautiful agency that truly provides services based on an individual’s needs. To find an organization that is whole-heartedly committed to the holistic care of individuals with developmental disabilities is rare. The Light House does this every day at a consistently high level.”
Even after relocating to Texas, Anna assisted remotely with Human Resources throughout the COVID-19 pandemic, and is thrilled to reengage as part of our Board of Directors.
“I am absolutely astounded by the leadership team at The Light House and am proud to remain connected to its mission. I look forward to supporting all efforts by serving on the Board of Directors.”
In her free time, Anna enjoys relaxing with her husband and three children: Hannah, Harry, and Igor. Anna is also passionate about working with show dogs, which she enjoys on the weekends.
