Nonprofit Grant Program Awards Community Campus with Grant

We are excited to announce that we have been awarded a $156,444 grant from the Connecticut Office of Policy and Management through their Nonprofit Grant Program for the purchase of two new wheelchair accessible vans and the renovation of the lighting and rooftop units at our New London building.

The Nonprofit Grant Program was created in August 2013 by Governor Malloy as a way of helping nonprofit health and human service agencies ensure that their funding goes towards assisting those most in need of their services. The program has invested a total of $105 million in hundreds of the state’s nonprofit organizations since its launch.

This grant will allow us to purchase two new wheelchair accessible vans and repair outdated rooftop units and lighting systems with new units and energy efficient technology. Executive Director Kassidy Brown says this funding “is instrumental in ensuring that we can have the equipment and space necessary to help participants learn, grow, and become active members of the community!"
