The Light House has been selected as a beneficiary of the Big Y Community Bag Program for the month of January. The Big Y Community Bag Program, which launched in January 2019, is a reusable bag program that facilitates community support with the goal to make a difference in the communities where shoppers live and work.
We were selected as the January beneficiary of the program by store leadership at the Big Y located at 995 Poquonnock Road, Groton CT 0340. The Light House will receive a $1 donation every time the $2.50 reusable Community Bag is purchased at this location during January, unless otherwise directed by the customer through the Giving Tag attached to the bag.
“We are excited to be chosen as Big Y’s’ January beneficiary for their Giving Tag Program. As a non-profit that is dedicated to community-based programming and integration, we are glad to be a part of a program that focuses on our community,” said Kassidy Brown, Executive Director.
